GENE HOGLAN To Tour With MELDRUM
September 15, 2007Legendary drummer Gene Hoglan (DARK ANGEL, DEATH, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, TESTAMENT) will sit behind the kit for MELDRUM — the Swedish/American band led by former PHANTOM BLUE guitarist Michelle Meldrum (wife of EUROPE axeman John Norum) — for the following European shows (except where otherwise indicated):

MELDRUM's sophomore album, "Blowin' Up The Machine" was released in Europe in May on Frontiers Records (it just came out in the U.S. this week). MOTÖRHEAD mainman Lemmy Kilmister makes a guest appearance on the track "Miss Me When I'm Gone", for which he wrote the lyrics and co-wrote the music. In addition, Gene Hoglan can be heard on four songs, while Meldrum's former PHANTOM BLUE bandmate Linda McDonald was responsible for laying down the drum tracks on the rest of the CD.
MELDRUM's video for the song "Purge" can be viewed below. The clip was shot in Southern California and features a special guest appearance by Gene Hoglan.
Hoglan previously played with Meldrum in the '80s thrash outfit WARGOD.
